Every year, Speakers’ clubs in North West England get their entries in for the Stockport Bowl, the region’s premier speaking competition.
Run by Stockport Speakers Club, the competition puts speakers up against a deadline as they give their speeches, because anyone outside the allowed time zone is automatically disqualified — a fate that has overtaken many competitors in past competitions. With no warning lights, you are on your own in judging your progress, although you can use your own watch or silent timing device (like your phone)!
